Initially a Child & Youth Worker, I am now a Professor in the Child & Youth Worker program at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. I've had the privilege of teaching in the program since 1995 and have been full-time in that role since 2004.
I graduated from Athabasca University with a Bachelor of Professor Arts (Human Services) and continued on to take the Master of Education (Distance) program after having such a positive experience with online learning. I am currently completing the final three courses in the MDDE program and will be eligible to graduate after completing the e-Portfolio defence.
I believe in lifelong learning and have taken advantage of many professional development opportunities along the way. One of which is the Master Online Teacher Certification through Illinois University: Illinois Online Network. I am one course shy of completing this credential as well. I am a musician in my free time and have always appreciated the balance of academic and pleasure pursuits. I intend to finish building my home recording studio after finally completing the MDDE program.
Many thanks must go out to my family, featured below, as my daughter and partner have put up with my stress and suffering for oh-so-many-years! And the pups too!
