Unit 8: Web 2.0

Objectives

  • After studying this unit you should be able to:
  • Explain what Web 2.0 means, and what it doesn't mean.
  • Differentiate between Web 2.0 applications and Web 1.0 applications.
  • Understand how Web 2.0 applications are changing distance education and how they may dramatically change distance education in the future.
  • Use a number of different Web 2.0 applications.
  • Discuss the potential use of Web 2.0 applications in distance education.
