Unit 4: ACTIONS / SECTIONS model (BATES)
After studying this unit you should be able to:
- Identify and explain the constituent parts of the ACTIONS / SECTIONS model.
- Identify which parts of the SECTIONS model are defined by the students, organization and environment, and which are defined by the particular technology.
- Analyze different educational technologies using the SECTIONS model.

Completing the SECTIONS assignment generated many questions and prompted me to consider the ways in which various technologies might, or might not, be used in the courses I teach. I reviewed a wide variety of technologies hoping I would narrow down the possibilities to a few potential candidates for development when I return to work in September.
